HERE’S What Happened to DoughP After Shark Tank (2023 update)

Kelsey Moreira, an ex-Intel employee and a former addict appeared on the shark tank on May 15, 2019. Her business was making tasty cookie dough that can also be eaten raw.

Though her business appealed to sharks, they weren’t willing to invest in something unhealthy and because of that Kelsey left the tank without striking a deal that day.

Kelsey’s love for cooking pulled her out of the addiction and she started cooking again. She came up with cookie dough that you can either cook or eat raw.

The idea is to give you a break and take you back to your childhood in today’s fast-paced crazy adult life.

Even though DoughP did not get a deal in the shark tank, after a few months of the show going on air, an investor reached out to Kelsey and invested $500,000 dollars in her business for an undisclosed amount of valuation.

DoughP has pivoted from physical stores to an e-commerce brand and is estimated to be valued at $25 Million at the moment.

What Is DoughP?

There’s something about cookie dough that just takes us back to our childhoods. Whether we were eating it raw out of the bowl or licking the spoon after baking cookies, cookie dough was always a treat.

For many of us, cookie dough was a rare treat that we only got to enjoy on special occasions. But now that we’re adults, we can enjoy cookie dough any time we want!

There are so many ways to enjoy cookie dough these days. You can buy it pre-made at the store, or make your own at home.

There are endless flavor possibilities, from classic chocolate chip to Funfetti and beyond. And if you’re feeling really indulgent, you can even make cookie dough stuffed cookies or cookie dough ice cream!

No matter how you enjoy it, cookie dough is a delicious way to bring a little bit of childhood nostalgia into your life.

There’s something so satisfying about a freshly-baked cookie. The smell of the sweet dough, the sound of the chocolate chips melting… it’s hard to resist.

But sometimes, you just don’t have the time (or energy) to make cookies from scratch. That’s where premade cookie dough comes in!

There are a few reasons why it’s better to buy premade cookie dough instead of making your own. For one, it’s a lot less work. You don’t have to measure out all of the ingredients or worry about mixing them together correctly.

Just scoop and bake!  Another reason is that premade cookie dough is usually more consistent in quality. When you make your own dough, it can be easy to under- or over-mix the ingredients, which can affect the texture and flavor of the cookies.

With the premade dough, you know you’re getting a product that is perfectly mixed and will produce delicious cookies every time. Finally, premade cookie dough is often less expensive than making your own.

When you factor in the cost of all the ingredients, plus the time it takes to mix everything together, it can be cheaper to just buy the dough.

So next time you’re in the mood for cookies, save yourself some time and money by picking up a package of premade dough. Your taste buds will thank you!

There are few things in life as satisfying as eating cookie dough straight from the bowl. And while we know that raw cookie dough can pose a risk due to the raw eggs, you don’t have to worry about that anymore. Because DoughP is completely egg free.

These are premade, safe-to-eat cookie doughs on the market that is perfect for those who can’t resist the temptation. So, who can enjoy premade cookie dough by DoughP?

Just about anyone! Whether you’re a kid or an adult, there’s no shame in indulging in a little (or a lot) of cookie dough.

And with so many flavors to choose from, there’s sure to be a cookie dough that you’ll love. If you’re looking for a safe, delicious cookie dough to eat, be sure to check DoughP.

DoughP Shark Tank Pitch (What Happened At The Show)

Kelsey Moreira a fearless talented entrepreneur enters the shark tank in 2019 and offers sharks $450k in exchange for 10% of her company.

She starts her pitch by pointing out how hard adulting and growing up is, people get busier and life gets crazier, her cookie dough gives you a chance to relax and takes you back to your childhood.

Cash flow was good when Kelsey walked into the tank because she had one store and also had more than 20,000 consumers each month. The Sharks enjoyed her product and were very delighted with the taste of cookie dough.

The margins up until that point were great too and were appealing to the sharks. They also appreciated the $850,000 in sales over a 1.5-year period. Simply put, things were looking good for Kelsey, until they weren’t.

Lori and Mark were out not because of any business reasons but because they did not like the idea of backing something unhealthy that would promote an unhealthy lifestyle.

Lori thought it was a cute, fun business and she knows there are a lot of people that really love cookie dough but it’s not a healthy enough option for her to invest in.

Mark also seemed to share the same opinion as Lori, everything about this investment seemed like a good idea to Mark, it was a good investment from a business point of view but with obesity being such a serious problem in today’s society, he couldn’t get behind this product.

Robert and Barbara don’t personally like cookie dough and they don’t wanna invest in something they don’t personally like and for that reason they were out too.

Kevin on the other hand was impressed with Kelsey but the problem Kevin saw with her deal was the valuation part. And because the valuation was too high for him, he was out.

Did DoughP Get a Deal On Shark Tank?

Though things were looking great for Kelsey from the get-go. Sharks liked her as an entrepreneur and DoughP was impressive from the business point of view too.

But despite all of that all the sharks stated why they will not be able to invest and Kelsey walked out of the tank without a deal.

Is DoughP still in Business?

Yes, as of 2022, DoughP is still in business.

DoughP Shark Tank Update (What Happened AFTER the Show)

She found another investor a few months after making her appearance on Shark Tank, and he or she paid her $500,000 for an undisclosed valuation.

She then set up shop in the Miracle Mile Mall on the Las Vegas Strip. She also installed vending machines selling cookie dough at McCarren Airport.

She and her husband relocated to Las Vegas and started expanding their online store. They avoided paying California’s 9.25 percent income tax by relocating to Las Vegas.

For DoughP, everything was going well until the 2020 Covid-19 epidemic struck. The rest of the year was challenging, despite the fact that she made the Forbes 30 under 30 list.

They shut down their shops and shifted to online sales. Retailers who were laid off might not have benefited, but Doughp reported a sharp increase in internet sales.

Online sales increased from $50,000 in 2019 to $2.5 million in 2020. $5 million in sales were made in 2021. DoughP Drops, containers of cookie dough in bite-size, were another product she unveiled.

Because the goods sold so well after being advertised on QVC, she is being invited back. Lifetime sales have reached $9.4 million after being featured on Shark Tank.

In addition to her commercial success, Kelsey has been sober for 7 years. She also founded the Doughp for Hope Foundation, which aids people in addiction recovery.

Will DoughP from Shark Tank Succeed? Here’s Our Prediction

There are many factors that contribute to a business succeeding. Some of the most important factors include having a strong and innovative product or service, a well-thought-out business plan, a passionate and dedicated team, and a willingness to adapt and evolve as the market changes.

Additionally, it’s important to have a clear understanding of your target market and what they want or need. And finally, you need to be able to execute your plans and goals effectively. If a business can do all of these things, they’re well on its way to success.

As far DoughP is considered, we think they are absolutely nailing everything. They also have a strong visionary leader.

A strong leader is the backbone of any successful business. They provide guidance and direction to their team, helping to ensure that the business is always moving forward in the right direction.

A strong leader is also someone who is able to inspire those around them, and Kelsey has never failed to inspire people around the world, this kind of leadership affects the performance and motivation of the employees more than one can imagine.

Leaders like Kelsey are able to motivate their team to achieve great things, and they always make sure that everyone is working towards the same goal which leads to the company doing better and thriving as a whole.

Another one of the most important factors is the quality of the product that the business offers. If the product is not up to par, customers will not return and the business will not succeed. And we all know how much DoughP’s customers love their product. It’s tasty and easy to consume.

Finally, marketing is also a vital piece of the puzzle. If potential customers do not know about the business, they will not be able to use the product. Which, again, DoughP has nailed. DoughP had already made live television appearances even before they appeared on shark tank for the first time.

So, in our humble opinion, DoughP has all the business advantages and they are set to grow and thrive in the long term.
